New cloud applications call for careful A2A integration

Ovum analyst Saurabh Surna recently told BusinessCloud9 that companies installing new, cloud-based solutions should make sure to have an A2A integration plan in place. Surna said that companies should have a clear business usage case for integration to ensure the new cloud software follows through on its promise of efficiency.

While cloud systems can save money and trouble for companies seeking to lower their IT commitments, Surna stated that some CIOs make the mistake of not questioning how the systems will integrate with on-premise solutions until it is too late and problems have arisen.

The possible pitfalls are not limited to processes within one organization. Surna warned that B2B integration scenarios involving new cloud deployments carry the same expectations of instant efficiency and, likewise, the same risks. A clear and carefully-made plan can pay dividends in such cases.

Integration solutions can, themselves, be found in the cloud. SEEBURGER recently made its SEE FX utility even more efficient by allowing companies to use it on either a public or private cloud model. The solution now includes the ability to interact with mobile devices, another of the widely publicized advantages of cloud products.
